A test trench of 2 m x 3 m on the west shore of a little river approx. 800 m northwest of the forest “Kaup” uncovered a black-soil cultural layer of between 20 and 40 cm thickness with a huge number of animal bones and pottery pieces in a depth of -40 cm. A provisionally restored iron object seems to be indacate handicraft. A few rim sherds of the pottery can be dated to the end of the first millennium, according to which a chronological connection to the nearby graveyard of the Viking Age seems to exist. In the north-west corner of area 3 a little pit was discovered.
